Step 4: Problem Solving

Most binges do not occur at random. Many are triggered by unpleasant events or circumstances including problems with relationships. Even if your binges are not generally triggered by external forces, most people find that developing their problem-solving skills is of value to them.
This section of the programme has helped me massively.  Although my instincts are to still ignore something and bury it deep, I don’t any more. Acknowledging how I feel, where those emotions have come from and assesing what I can do about it has made such a difference to me.

Over the last two months, I personally have exercised any demons I have been carrying and feel free. I have made a promise to myself, that I will deal with something in there present. I will stop an issue or situation from becoming that shadow that pulls me back into binging. I’m in control but most importantly aware and I’m determined to keep it that way!
